Chef Gigi has had a love affair with all thing’s food for over 30 years. She was inspired by recipes her working Mom would leave for her and then call with instructions on how to follow and produce amazing meals. With influences from both her Grandmothers in creating a mixture of their Caribbean, Latin, and New England flavors, she ultimately developed her famous style of Afro-Caribbean cooking.
As a food enthusiast herself, Chef Gigi followed her passion and graduated with honors from the prestigious Le Cordon Bleu, Atlanta in 2016, having the honor of studying under the tutelage of the country’s first African American Certified Master Chef, Daryl Shular.

Upon graduation, Chef Gigi was hired by Chef Pano Karatassos, Executive Chef of the award winning Kyma Restaurant and Corporate Executive Chef for Buckhead Life Restaurant Group, as a Banquet Chef for their legendary 103 West, Atlanta’s Premiere Private Events Venue. She successfully owned and operated ‘A Catered Affair’, showcasing her unique cuisine with first class flair.

She is an active member of the American Culinary Federation (ACF), Women, Chefs, and Restaurateurs (WCR), Community Farmers Market of Georgia (CFM), and Sevananda’s Natural Food Market Co-op.

After caring for her husband who last his battle with Dementia, she received her certification as a Health Coach and Nutritionist from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) of New York. Chef Gigi is now Plant Based and focused on her purpose as a Chef to help others who suffer from chronic illnesses to heal and live healthier lives one meal at a time.

In her spare time, Chef Gigi combines her passion for food and love of travel by curating unique and exciting food and travel excursions. One of her Mantra’s, “Your body holds deep wisdom. Trust in it. Learn from it. Nourish it. Watch your life transform and be healthy.” – Bella Bleue.
